The first day the trip you begin from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am. Get on a bicycle to ride around and get yourself familiar with this wonderful countryside area, your destination is at Le Longanier Restaurant. In there, lunch is provided in this unique colonial-style villa set in an eye-catching tropical garden near the river. After lunch, board the Song Xanh Sampan to enjoy the cruise crossing the busy waterways of the Mekong Delta, on the way you’ll stop to explore the local cottage industries that make use of several products from the Delta like rice and coconuts. Before reaching in Sa Dec, stop to take a look around the traditional brick factory with handcrafted products.
Next in Sa Dec, step ashore and take a look at the stunning outdoor market. Explore the historic house of the real-life character in the acclaimed novel and film “The Lover” by Marguerite Duras. You’ll have the dinner is provided at a local house for you. The owner welcomes you and a candlelit dinner is made ready in this magnificent environment. Spend the calm night in the cruise of your sampan as it moors on the Mekong River.
The next day breakfast is provided in the cruise while sailing towards Long Xuyen along narrow canals past a couple of bridges, namely rustic monkey and pristine rural scenes. Next, you will have lunch on board, then you will reach at Long Xuyen to learn about the birthplace of Vietnam’s second president, Tiger Island. Back to the sampan for dinner and continue sailing towards Rach Gia. Spend your second night in the cruise.
Lastly, you will reach at Rach Gia at about 7:00 in the morning, the capital of Kien Giang Province, which is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. Then breakfast is provided in the cruise before disembarkation. If you are an early traveler to Phu Quoc, we can provide you breakfast as soon as 6:00 in the morning.
