What to see in Da Lat, the capital of Lam Dong province – a mountain range area. Its stunning and charming natural sights are the key factors for tourism attractiveness, and its Western architecture style has contributed to making Da Lat one of the most fantastic getaways in Vietnam. Moreover, the weather is also a huge plus of this place. Being higher above the sea level, Da Lat city remains to be cool all year long which is a perfect place for those who are from tropical areas such as Saigon like me.
Located in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, Da Lat is no doubt an ideal place for sightseeing. Da Lat, as I’ve said, is also a wonderful place for camping. The young generation in Vietnam now favors the trends for taking a vacation which focuses on their own feelings and personal styles – Backpacking. Therefore, you should be ready to grab your gears, take your favorite vehicles and be ready for your own campfire. One more thing though, don’t forget to get your guitar and your tasty foods, and maybe some drinks.

Where to stay in Da Lat.
Being one of the top City Tourism in Vietnam, Da Lat will not disappoint anyone who comes here for a vacation especially if mentioning about accommodation. No matter who you are and where you come from, Da Lat will satisfy you. Well, I don’t really want to mention those fancy resorts and hotels since you guys can easily look for their information on the internet or travel agents’ websites. In this article, I’d like to talk about “Homestay” – one kind of Airbnb which has been becoming very popular among the young generation in Vietnam. Da Lat is the pioneer, and also the home of the most beautiful homestays in Vietnam.
More than just a place to stay that will give you nice breakfasts and fancy swimming pools, staying at these gorgeous and poetic homestays will leave you unforgettable memories as well as your new playmates, or even your soulmates. Typically, homestays are built on the hills with French-style designs. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about the landscape. The competition among this housing business obviously brings us a ton of benefits from pricing to quality and of course, services.

The Circle Da Lat
This beautiful hostel is located only 5 minutes from the center and right next to the bus station. Got inspired by the idea of “Life is a circle”, this hostel will involve you in a very young, cheerful and blissful atmosphere. One big plus about this hostel is the location – just right in the middle of a hill. A lot of cloud-hunters favor this place a lot because of its foggy and poetic view in the morning when looking out from the windows.

Staffs here are extremely friendly, helpful, good at cooking as well as singing and playing guitar. There is normally a BBQ dinner in the evening for everyone to join. People meet up here, sing together, get to know each other, and of course, a lot of them team up for the upcoming trips the days after. Happiness is when it can be shared, and sharing happiness is creating more happiness. This is the purpose of them. This is your home, everyone is your fam, and you are living and enjoy this moment with your family.

Some heads up for you guys about this special homestay: No attached bathroom, no TV, you will experience sleeping on the mattress. No Internet booking or payment, I think this would be inconvenient for some people, but the owner can speak good English so you can just call in and ask for the availability.

Anna Mandara Villas
This is an old charming French Villa that is forgotten by the modernizing process of the city. Hidden from the center of the city, Anna Mandara Villas Resort and Spa will give you a pleasant time in Dalat. Someone left a common about this place like this “it couldn’t have been more idyllic. The resort is spread out in such a way that despite having no vacancies, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The guest rooms were ample and beautifully decorated. The grounds are immaculately maintained. Even check-in and check-out were pleasant with fresh tea and a relaxing lobby. I enjoyed an amazing spa experience with a fantastic deep tissue massage that was both relaxing and therapeutic which in my experience is a rarity.”
This place is suitable for leisure travel, and a favorite destination for the Vietnamese couples’ honeymoons.

Which season is the best time to travel?
Some people say that November to June is the best time to travel to Da Lat. But from my own personal point of view, Da Lat is beautiful all year long. If I have to decide, I will pick November as the prime time for traveling. In November, persimmons ripe, flowers bloom. This is the season of fog and cloud hunting.
